does anyone here play this gaem? if so, any interesting world that you could share?

 No.6679

There's a worlds thread here if you're interested in reading what uboachan thought of it 12 years ago >>443

Personally, I've used it a few time, but back then my pc was kinda poopy and I didn't have enough storage to download a lot of worlds. I've been thinking about getting back to it one of these days.

Have you guys played this Mario 64 romhack? Feels like a mix of Yume Nikki, LSD Dream Emulator and Mario 64. I love the atmosphere, music and overall feel of the romhack and thought maybe you guys would like it too. If you want to play just apply this patch to an US version of a Mario 64 rom.

Recently watch the Vinesauce video about it. And yeah, the music is real good and the strange layout of worlds give that LSD Dream Emulator & Yume Nikki sensation. Maybe gonna try it soon.

It's nice and cool. The game itself is a mysterious object which is rare and home. I really like their rendition of wet dry world too.

Does anyone here know about these games?

Towelket is a series of RPG Maker games inspired by MOTHER, with surreal, philosophical, and horrific themes. Currently, there are six games, and four spin-off titles.

Recently, a few people have started work on translating the series. If you can aide with the translation, feel free to join the IRC: irc://irc.rizon.net/towelket

The demo for the newest game, "Unreasonable Camp", was recently released.

I finished playing it yesterday and I can't stop thinking about it. Probably one of the strongest introductions we've had in a while.

The first couple of hours were so good and then Kanao just had to give up towards the end for no reason. It's nice that Kanao is putting more effort into things like the visuals and gameplay but he needs to stop changing the story last minute. If the story just stuck to the script it probably could have been as great as Dekapari or Yorumorukimiri.

 No.1350[Reply]

So, i found this game through some related japanese Ao Oni video.

The game is called clown's pavilion and from what ive gathered there are 3 versions or possibly 3 diffrent games in the series.

It takes place inside a mansion filled with monsters, there was some clown in the introduction and you run around solving mysteries.

I dunno why this has gone so much under the radar. I couldn't find ANY english website at all mentioning the game.

http://www5.hp-ez.com/hp/fugasi/top
You can download it from here but i can't tell what's what.

Does anyone have more info on this or maybe the japanese to help get a better understanding.

 No.1360

Okey, i just tried played it with a friend of mine, and it was great. You don't need to know japanese to know how to play. It is alot of story, but the puzzles were really fun and i would recommend this game to all of you.

My friend and i considered doing a let's play of the game but we are not that good entertainers so i dunno.

I recently stumbled into this neat little game while digging through steam and found it really interesting to play through.
It's not about dreams but it has the same broad strokes of surrealism and exploration that I dig from other YN fangames.
Has anyone else played or heard about this game?

I've noticed that quite a lot of us are playing MMOs from the wizardry thread.

What are you playing at the moment? What have you played in the past? Any memorable experiences?

 No.2689

Lineage II. I was a cunt. GMs really hated me, even heros. Once they callenged all the players of the server to hunt me down (I was lvl 4) but nobody could find me because I was at the limit of the map and everybody was mad.
Then some GMs came and started to teleport me to different places full of those hunters, or with the most powerful creatures of the world, while I was literally pissing myself because of how mad they were.
I never lol'd so hard playing online games; Oh, L2, oh, 2004, those were great times.

It's not nearly as bad after they've nerfed the BAMs. You could literally just grind them to level 60 if you wanted to. Questing is a good way to get exp too, and it's not all that soul crushing. Get exp boosts if you can afford them. You'll be 60 in 2 weeks max if you play a couple hours a day.

I have a couple characters on NA tera [CH] if you want company.

Reviving the thread from ye olde /og/. Share indie games here. Try to keep it to the free ones.

Include the game name, download link, game description, and preferably some footage of the game. Screenshot is fine too.

WANTED: I had a huge list of indie shmups, however I reformatted and no longer have the proper links. If anyone has any shmups they would like to share, do so.

Also I'm missing a few download links for some of these games. However I've updated all the links I could so everything should be working.

https://centicerise.itch.io/fallstreak

Free 8 hrs long visual novel that, despite being made by a western dev, has really amazing artwork and sprites. The story is of "fucking ride" type, it starts off as a mix between Katawa Shoujo and old Key titles, and then switches to the dark past of the protagonists. The text is written in pretty high english and could be a bit difficult to read for not native speakers, but nothing really critical.

There's a paid prequel too, Fallstreak: Requiem for my Homeland. It's much shorter (about 2 hrs long), and the genre took more of military apocalyptic utsuge turn.

Overall, I can't recommend it enough, it's pure obscure gem of gaijin VNs.

Greetings friends, I come in need of dire help. For the last couple hours(all day), I have attempted to get the sound to work on the pc-98 emulator Neko Cat 2 on Arch Linux. I have compiled and recompiled, configured and reconfigured, but alas to no avail. I even downgraded sdl_mixer like someone suggested. The video works perfectly fine, but for xnp2 and xnp21 the sound just does not work. Please, i just want to listen to touhou and know what Seifuku sounds likeThinking about it now I should have just installed Anex86…

1. git clone https://github.com/AZO234/NP2kai/archive/rev.22.tar.gz
(if you have Arch linux download this https://aur.archlinux.org/xnp2kai-azo234.git, run "makepkg -sic", and skip to step 8)
2. tar -xf rev.22.tar.gz
3. cd rev.22/NP2kai-rev.22/x11
4. ./autogen.sh
5. ./configure –enable-ia32
6. make
7. make install
8. Now download the attached font and create a file which contains the line "fontfile = /home/[username]/font.rom" or whatever the path is
9. Now download the game file, I have attached touhou one, but you can find more at https://pc98.org
10. Run xnp21kai –config [file with the line about the font]
11. If the extension of your game is .hdi, click on HardDisk>IDE0-0>Open and select your game, but if the extension is .fdi or .d88 click on FDD>Drive1>Open and select your game
12. Click on Emulate>Reset
13. Wait for it to load. Some common keys used are 'z', 'x', and 'Return'
Post too long. Click here to view the full text.

You're forgetting a couple of details.
- Download Yamaha 2608's six sound samples, as, like FONT.ROM, this can't legally be included in Neko Project distributions. I found a link to them here https://mega.nz/#!ol00kSzI!zKU56E8GeFeCQ6-deANqJIjESxm5UElImN7kuIgvJF4 (https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/walfasstationwagon/touhou-pc-98-english-patches-setup-guide-t90.html)
- Remember to set your monitor's refresh rate to 56.4 Hz (or some multiple, such as 112.8) as all PC-98 games run fixed at this framerate.

Yes, I realise the thread is three years old but I just couldn't let it sit.
