Has anyone travel frequently? If so, where to? Pic related, it's the CN tower in Toronto, where I often spend spring break at. I didn't have any pics of it handy, so I took it from Google Images.

It's not really an adventure if there are no struggles, no risk of death, and you can just go home whenever you feel like it.

A few years ago I spent three weeks planting trees on Tanera Island, a godforsaken place if there ever was any. Four of us slept in tents for two each, we ate every other day and it ALWAYS rained. On the upside, I realised how much I hate camping. On the downside… ten years later, Tanera Mor is still as barren as ever.

Hmm I really don't go anywhere but last year I went to Missouri for my best friend's wedding. Our friend drove us down, that sure was a trip. Nothing but rain and cornfields. We were on the edge of one of the hurricanes at that time of year. We also got lost so we didn't get to the hotel till 10 PM at night even though we left at 9 AM. The trip also ate up a great deal of gas money; like a couple hundred.

I took a lot of silly pictures of the ride up, this was crossing the Mississippi river.

I like road trips and I consider them adventures. I'm excited to visit my grandma in a few months (she lives two states away from me).

Remember the glory that was the personal website back in the glorious 90's? Back when if you had one, you were either a wannabe who used Netscape Composer to make yours, or you were notepad master race (obviously you were way cooler if you were using Linux, but I was like 12 and my dad and I installed 98SE on my first computer we built together)

Included for your viewing pleasure is thought experiments lain, my favorite Lain website that is somehow still miraculously online.

Hmm, people back then sure liked Matrix-y neon green over black. Can't blame them, helps readability without straining the eye.

Some of my fondest childhood memories are of listening to 90's alternative rock with my big brother in his room. That music is so nostalgic to me~
He played a lot of Weezer, Presidents of the United States of America, The Rentals, Radiohead, and lots of others

Let's share our favorite songs and bands from the time/genre!

This little program is a Randomizer for your Red and Blue ROMs. Randomize your starter choices, the Pokémon you can catch, the Pokémon other trainers have, which moves go to which TMs (but not HMs, so you won't get stuck without Surf or Fly) and more! You'll scratch your head in wonder, you'll learn new strategies for old siutations, you'll experience Kanto like never before! It's an interesting way to breathe some new life into these old classics.

This thing's pretty awesome. I ended up choosing an Exeggcute with Gust and Take Down as my starter Pokemon, then my rival ended up picking a Jigglypuff with Rock Throw and Rock Throw (yup, it had the move twice).

Route 1 Had Dodrios with Wing Attack, Minimize and Growth, and Beedrills with Scratch and some other move. Caught a Dodrio, but Catching the Beedril kept failing; maybe the pokeballs were too weak.

After arriving at the next town, I made a quick detour into Route 22 to hunt Pokemon, and got a Ryhorn with Thundershock and Barrier. It's mostly useless until I can get it some levels and better moves though, since its Thundershock is horrible even on water types, and it's even been dying against the enemy's Flamethrowers and Fire Punches.

I then headed into Veridian forest, which had Pidgeottos with Hydro Pump and Slash, and Tauros with Mega Kick and Horn attack. Couldn't catch a Pidgeotto, but I got the Tauros, which has been making short work of everything I've put it up against.

Also, first encounter with trainers here; The picture on the left is from my very first trainer battle.

I then arrived at Pewter city, and beat Brock's (now Spike) Hitmonchan and Lapras for my badge, and a TM that teaches Vine Whip; as for the move's use, Spike enthusiastically explained that "Your Pokemon will take damage in battle then disintegrate!" While Spike turned out to be a liar, the move did come in handy against Babycakes' Graveler on route 3; You can see Babycakes there in the attached picture, by the way.

I then fought through the Babycakes, Derps and Buggy Boys to reach the Pokemon Center outside Mt. Moon. Once there, I noticed that the usual Magicarp seller was selling something a little different; you can see what that was in the attached screenshot.

That's all I've played so far, though the experience sure seems different enough that it makes replaying the game pretty interesting.

people actually compare the glorious UT versus Q3?

ha

 No.2268

Q3 is my qt :3

 No.2269

UT all the way. Aiming in Quake III felt sorta weird and the graphical style wasn't as good. UT felt more solid and had better mods.

 No.2270

Although I've never played UT itself, I played many Unreal Engine powered games, and all of them were a fucking lag- and glitchfest, regardless of the machine I've played them on. UT could have had a (slightly) better gameplay experience (or at least this is what the people who played both says), but technology-wise, Q3 all the way! Plus the Q3 engine has been open sourced, while UE probably will never be (not much surprise that they are so ashamed of their code).
