I know it's really hard being admin those days…

What am I not doing that you want me to do?

The /wild/ topic is so retarded because nobody has really touched the /wild/ topic suggestion thread in ages; I have to come up with this shit myself.

You're not part of the problem

And the /wild/ board does its purpose regardless of its topic. A fresh topic on a weekly basis means more discussion, even if it's a joke topic

I just want to say to you, that I like the new banners.

Youre okay admin-san, its not your fault your users are retarded.

When I psot I get "Incorrect key file for table '/tmp/#sql_18a4_0.MYI'; try to repair it"

but the post still goes through

The server broke earlier today because our backups ran us out of space. Any services running could have become corrupted. I've restarted the database server; tell me if this happens again.

Instead of becoming a cool board about psychology, /psy/ replaced /n/ as Uboachan's personal echo chamber. What should I do about it? Move threads to /n/? Make rules about allowed content? Delete the board? Or should I just leave it alone?

you know in retrospect it would probably have been an awesome idea to have kept all the old wildcard boards as their own boards, locked and hidden away like the others

rename to /shitpost/, repurpose /psy/ as /med/ or /sci/ and have a psychology thread

How about I merge /psy/ into /n/ and turn /dev/ into /sci/?

How about keep /psy/ and make /sci/… your post was ambiguous

turn /psy/ into /psy/ = GANNAM FSYCLE.

For those who are interested, /wild/'s topic for this week is indeed backwards.
Head over to /wild/ for all your sdarwkcab /draob/ needs.

We should just answer their every post with backwards posts, regardless of what board it is in

What happened to the Archive? I can't click on it anymore after the server moved. ._.

Works for me. What IP address shows up when you ping "archive.uboachan.net"? Maybe your DNS is being wonky. The global DNS update isn't finished.

When you banned me, did you intend to also delete every post I did in the past x weeks even when they weren't rule breaking?

Your IP address shows up nowhere on the ban list.
Are you sure that you even got banned in the first place?

Also, what were your posts in OT about?

The America thread was moved to /ot/ by myself, and it is true that someone deleted it. But it was not I.

Yeah I got a 3-day ban for spam

Idk then, it's not showing up in the ban list.

I want to make a thread complaining about error messages when posting but can't because I get error messages when posting thread.

Turn referers on, like the error says.

And why should that be obligatory? I have referrers disabled for security reasons, and on every single other board I don't have this issue.

deal with it nerd

Then just enable it here. Referers are used for things like redirection. Complain to STI if you don't want the site to use them. A lot of pages would need an extra POST or GET request to figure out where you came from, which would basically be the same as what a referer does, but dirtier. That's what they are originally for.

The mental health discussions on the current /wild/ are pretty interesting. May I suggest we make a mental health board permanent? It fits in well with the context of this website (which is mostly about dreams and mindfuck type things), and I think it most of our users would relate to it and benefit from it. Why I am suggesting a complete new board is because while people CAN discuss it in /ot/ or /n/, they usually don't, and having an actual board on it encourages discussion on the topic.

Fits context IMO. Self-mutilation is a tell-tale sign of mental health issues, especially depression. :y Just my view of it.

>it still kinda likely pushes the gore rule

For it to push the gore rule it would have to contain some form of gore in it

Nope, it doesn't.

However, I'd like to request that you don't post these kinds of self-harm pictures. There's plenty of so-called artistic pictures with implied self harm in them to be used instead rather than the explicit.

Deal with it, how the fuck am I supposed to know every fucking trigger for every fucking mental disease you have

File: 1345257610158.jpg (41.21 KB, 500x268, tumblr_lu7bluKZ0N1qmkey9o1….jpg)

I actually really like this idea.
Why not at least test it?

It might get stupid. or it might spark a lot of good discussion. And lets face it, there's a whole load of shit-stormers on almost every page anyways.

Fuck, if people get too stupid on it, just delete it.

Then assuming nothing was deleted, the previous mod just closed it without posting any reason. Which is retarded. This is why I said in the past that this site has too many mods and isn't managed well.

You're not alone, I was annoyed and I didn't even make the thread. granted, it wasn't a very good thread idea because it wouldve generated (similar) content.

Good to know. I'm not the thread's OP either

All I know is that we don't just have one mod acting on his/her own accord, we have two or three of them who agreed that it would be a thread producing the same general content.

Somehow, knowing that a dumb decision was agreed upon by a number of people doesn't make me feel any better

File: 1344236714611.jpg (156.55 KB, 491x491, 1343632720644.jpg)

I actually agree with OP here; the topics are not similar, and I'm not sure how that conclusion was reached by multiple mods. I'm also not sure how I feel about heavy moderation on /ot/ in the first place — note to self, board may need special exceptions.

Since there seems to also be some misinterpretation of the moderator guidelines at play, I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that I do not condone "time machine moderation". A thread can be locked when it goes to shit, not in anticipation of the possibility of it going to shit.

Unless any of the other staff can post a reasonable counter argument, I will unlock the thread in question tomorrow. Thank you for bringing this matter to /sugg/.
