>>4543good catch the arms are definitely a little short, well be more careful in the future. And yeah, the first could use a lot more work but I kinda like it like this too. Thank you
You are the second one to tell me it looks like a storybook ilustration but I'm not sure what you mean, do you mean the way it is drawn?

>>4544Yes, its definitely more in the way its drawn than the subject of the drawing. I cant put my finger on exactly what it is, especially as now I cant actually think of a book that's illustrated like that. I think a lot of its in the face. Sorry I cant be more helpful.

The thin lining, the out of line coloring, the realistic neck and the very cartoonish face with sharp, pointed details are what makes the second picture look like a children's illustration. The first picture is well-proportioned and no one feature is more exaggerated than the other. It's very balanced and looks a tiny bit like Satoshi Kon's style. The facial expression is realistic, but subtle, and Mado's face has soft look to it, as apposed to the jagged and jarring face on the second picture.

They look really good, really like your style. I do agree with anons that they feel unfinished. If the hair in the second image was more detailed it would make it even better. I like the shadowing in the second and damn, Mado has some really nice boots in the first.
Hoping you'll post more.
