I saw this American Apparel ad on a bus stop, and I instantly thought "Poniko!"; I don't know if this really looks all that Poniko looking, but that's what I was thinking when I saw it.

Something that I got a lot of compliments on was the rusted effect I got [on accident mind you] about my pipe, so I'm going to just tell you what I did.

Red Food Dye.
No joke.
Splash that shit on your pipe, get it on your hands and make it as messy as you can.
When it drys off, it stains the pipe giving it both a bloody and rusted look, since it stains between brown and red.

I think that large Sabitsuki in one of the "empty boxes" areas looks like she has a turtleneck rather than a tank top. Also, I like the turtleneck look.
Though, I haven't seen a Sabitsuki cosplay using a tank top yet (out of the only 2 I've seen).

Um, yeah. This was a picture from my premature Mado cosplay.. I was originally going to upload my pictures of my Sabitsuki cosplay but I don't have them now…
Well, this was taken before I put the "window" insignia on it… Plus the shirt ripped last week, so I'll be making a new one ASAP…
Also, yes, my hair is short, so I was like "CAT EFFECT = SUBSTITUTE".

Anyway. I can't wait to see your progress! The shirt and skirt seem to fit really well from the side picture; though you'll need a tail for the cat effect. Though I would suggest a wig, a cat [effect] is fine too.

You should probably be wearing a sleveless turtleneck, and the skirt needs to be way shorter. It's kind of hard to see your feet so I can't tell if you're wearing boots or not, but Sabitsuki wears boots. You might also want to use costume makeup to make your face look paler (your lips should be almost the same color as your skin).

Your hair looks nice. Good job on the hair.

Honestly, even if real Sabi does wear a turtleneck, I kinda like this look. Besides, while lol's art shows turtlenecks, the sprites kind of show more tank-top-ish things. Also, it's not 100% confirmed that Sabi wears a mini-skirt, although some of lol's art implies this. But, considering the shirt detail thing, it might be the same with the skirts. Plus, from what I see, the place where they are taking pictures seems to already be too cold for a long skirt and a tank-top. While I already think she's pale enough, I do kinda agree though that it would make more sense if she used make-up to be even paler and put on some light-lipstick or something that would lighten her lip color.

Well hello there. My friend is thinking of doing a Yume Nikki/fangame cosplay. She has long blonde hair and blue eyes. We were thinking of Poniko or Al's (NJ) Mom, but we need some more ideas. She's fairly new to cosplay, so doesn't want to wear a wig. Any ideas?

Unless she has fantastic hair, the general rule is get a wig because they are much more manageable and better looking, you don't have to compromise your own hair as well.

I don't know, just go for what ever she is feeling good about. Just look at the things she loves, and pick out characters she likes, it doesn't necessarily mean being limited to what you look like.
