Anyone going to Otakon this year? I'll be going as Madotsuki with a friend as Sabitsuki through part of Saturday. (or Friday, depending on when the Evangelion shoot is) I'll either be making an Uboa plush or making an Uboa bag to carry around.

Kick. Ass. Where did you get your clothing and such? I recently bought a short sleeved shirt close to that color so I can make a Madotsuki shirt for warmer weather. How did you attack the pattern onto the skirt? I'm especially interested in where you got your skirt and shoes. On a side note, if that a wig or your real hair?

I got the shirt and shoes on ebay and the sweater at Goodwill. I made the pattern out of felt and stuck it on with fabric tac.
It's my actual hair, I tried to dye it brown but it came out pretty much black.

I'm planning to cosplay as Madotsuki at a convention this year, and I just wanted to make sure there aren't any flaws in my plan.

I was thinking I could sew on the design? I'm only an amateur at sewing, though. Barely even that. Will I have difficulty with this? Will it stay on? Not to mention I'd have to change inside the convention. Since it's going to be hot outside.

Just got back. I had a fucking blast. Wish you were there anon. It was amazing. There must have been so many watts going out of the PA system you literally had no choice but to roll especially with the skill and artistry of the performers. It was the best time I've had in a while.

I was bummed that the music on the main stages ended at 2am. Then they only had 2 semi-official after parties with music but no one was dancing there, it was just a veteran circlejerk so I cut out of that early since it wasn't really my scene. Regardless, I didn't get any sleep the entire time I was there because it was so hot during the day time and there were renegade soundstages playing the good stuff 24/7 so you can roll all day if you choose. Lots of great people were there, people and places I didn't even know existed in the real world. It was definitely something to see.

We'll have to do this again sometime somewhere anons.

Yeah this was total bust. I brought afriend that doent like anime, lightly plays video games and doesnt geek out about anything but music. We went to a panel and she almost fell asleep. After only 4 hours of being there she wanted to leave because she had to drive and didnt want to be drunk. I really wanted to stay but instead we all just got fucked up at my place. But it was fu n while it lasted. Never briging a normie to any kind of con again.
