Multiverse was fun, but it's a pain to maintain it and our server can barely handle hosting two worlds. I don't think it can take three.

Nah. I'm not going to destroy it all.

There's a few possibilities. The first is that I move the current worlds to a powerful but unreliable backup server I happen to have, and then put the new world on our server.

The second is to take both current worlds offline and offer them for download, and then reset with the new world.

The third, of course, is multiversing all three worlds, but as I said I don't think our server can handle that. It may be worth a shot.

The fourth is to move all of UboaCraft to the more powerful server, but I'm not sure how long I'll have access to it, so UboaCraft could disappear suddenly in the future.

That said, UboaCraft is currently down and I'm not sure when I can bring it back up, due to time constraints and other issues. (It will take several hours to set it all up most likely.) This weekend is a possibility, though there's quite a few plugins that haven't updated for 1.3.

And of course, hosting UboaCraft is very expensive. Based on how much funds we pull in through donations and such, it either will or won't be shut down completely near the end of next month, so we don't lose all of Uboachan instead.

My only request is I would like to see what my castle looked like. The big floating fortress in the sky. is there a way to save that to a world and give me that file? I know someone who used a program where he literally selected chunks of the map with his mouse and stuff.

Screenshots and info for my Nether superstructure, "Square Nexus".

Square Nexus is a giant superstructure in the ceiling of the nether, currently under construction. The lower level is constructed of three kinds of "nodes", and hallways.

* Link Nodes - Link together Hub Nodes and Exit Nodes.
* Hub Nodes - Split into four directions. Also contain ladders to the upper level.
* Exit Nodes - Contain ladders to the Nether floor.

The upper level doesn't contain anything special yet.

When complete, Square Nexus will span 212x212 blocks. It will contain:

* 72 hallways.
* 36 Link Nodes.
* 24 Exit Nodes.

Have you ever used nether portal networks before? They never match up, and most of the time they don't stretch the distance properly across the overworld (if at all). It's a problem in the base-code, not multiverse. It's been like this since beta.

You see the land cleared to the north east of spawn, I'm already building a dark forest there, with jungle trees, I'll use the excess wood to build a platform to blot out the sun and make it permanently night.

The UboaCraft server is back up at "mine.uboachan.net", now in the Netherlands on our new box. It's not entirely ready yet, but still playable. Things that aren't ready:

* New whitelist registrations must be made through an admin on IRC until our registration system is back up.
* We're using xAuth while Uboauth is down. It should be back up soonish.

New stuff:

* Dynmap is back at "http://mine.uboachan.net:8123".

It may take a few hours for your DNS to update. You can also just connect to "uboachan.net". They both point to the same place.

In other news, to celebrate the server move and the return of UboaCraft, in just a week or two (date tbd) we'll be having the SEVEN DAYS OF NIGHT special server event!

During this special event, for seven whole, irl days, THE SUN WILL NOT RISE ABOVE THE SKIES OF UBOACRAFT. Simply stepping outside without powerful equips will be a death wish. At the same time, plenty of monsters means plenty of loot! It may even be a nice opportunity for some roleplaying. Be sure to make the best of this special event. A sticky will be made when the end is nigh.

I also have a cracked client, and I've been trying to figure out the uboauth key thing. I tried saving it in the directory ".minecraft/uboauth-keys/mine.uboachan.net.key", but it just won't work. It keeps saying it can't find the key. I saved it as a text file though, was that the problem? Please, someone help!
