So an artist who's webcomic I followed for a while died. At least I think, the term "got into a strange accident" keeps getting tossed around. Regardless, his website is now this:
http://m3ps.blogspot.com/It makes no fucking sense and its creeping me out, what's the timer for? Can anyone maybe try to figure out what the fuck is going on?

>>696The image filename is binary and says "can you find it?"
There are transparent areas at the bottom of the image. If you save it and open on a white background, you can see a giant eye with the number 14 in the pupil, and the words "can you see it?"
The background binary says "not ready to die"
Need help with the significance of the number 14.

I saved that image yesterday and there was no eye

>>701Whoa, whoa, that's new. Interesting.
I personally believe this is a… hmm, 'new try of art' if you want to call it like that. It's like an art project based in an ARG.
Not bad, I'm going to follow this.
>INB4 THE BITTERROOT FOOTAGE CRAP No.703
The background turned white. Now you can see the eye on the page. I bet this will continue to change every day,

>>703this website is also on /x/ on 4chan, they found a lot of information, posting it here:
there are two binary codes: ones says "not ready to die" and the other says "can you find it?"
today the image changed with an eye with the number 14 in the pupil, along with the words "can you see it?"
someone went and took the new .png image and encoded it and it revealed a basecode64 string, when the string was encoded it revealed another message:
"Can you hear me? It's hard to breathe, but it's somehow refreshing. Please keep looking for me. I'm not sure where I am, but I believe I can be found. Please be patient. I?m sorry for worrying you. Forgive me.
The man in yellow offered me these words: ?anChovy fives mAnifold minds?"
"?anChovy fives mAnifold minds?" is obviously an anagram, and we're stuck on that at the moment

>>779Sumary for lazy-asses (copied from a kind anon of 4chan):
Here is a summary, sorry if it's long:
-person named M3Ps dies
-people find out its a gurl and used to be an artist
-weird images pop up on the site
-there is one of a robot on a stake
-more images and mentions of a directive and shit
couple puzzles later:
-references to a "man of envy" pop up in puzzles
-first counter ends
-image of the white room M3Ps is in comes up
-she starts writing things on the wall and drops some pieces of paper
-talks about a person named MAv3rick
-an image of a person shows up on the screen in the white room
-the "feed" on the image gets disconnected
-MAv3rick starts telling people to get off the website and that M3Ps will kill people if you keep watching
-and now the man of envy (previously mentioned) is going to die on September 12th thanks to our "contribution" and we have the power to "change his fate" if we want
more in another post
(pic is first white room post)
When the second counter ended it linked to a website, the one in the OP and to an animation.
I don't know if someone can link the animation because the page it was on is passworded.
The following info was revealed over the past few days on the site:
-M3Ps died and was changed into a robot with a weird directive that goes like this:
–she has visions, when she has them he has to draw them out for use
–she uploads what she draws on that website, and she has to post daily
MAv3rick is an AI that lives in the room with her in the screen. He made the website and is there to help her carry out her objective by translating her text since she can only output information in base64 and binary apparently.
All of that is in more detail on the "comments" post on her blog. It's worth the read, M3Ps responded to comments and gave out a lot of info.
The catch is MAv3rick hates her and even called her a whore. He is basically a dick. Today she was smiling and telling her she's going to die, I've got a good feeling he's lying. MAv3rick is pretty entertaining anyway.
The whole thing is really, its like paranormal and weird out of dimension science fiction.
Also two things that come up a lot in the whole thing is a picture of an eye and the number 14. What they mean no one really knows.

Also, the unfiction thread:
http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=38232A lot of things that were not in 4chan are there.
Even some documents I have not seen in 4chon's thread.
Also, M3P is cute. /x/ doesn't seems to appreciate my love though.
No.785
>>784Okay, read through it. It's a really interesting ARG, and EVERYTHING (I've seen, at least) that was on the /x/'s threads didn't even approach to show all te material that was there in.
It has way much more potential than what I've thought. The story is not bad, and the art is nice.
M3P is such a qt too…Guys, chech out that thread in unfiction. Now they're trying to crack a password here, where that video we've seen is full-lenght.

Uh, /x/ thread died. It was there yesterday, though…
Has anyone checked it before it died? Something new?
The last thing I remember is that they all were fighting if this was a game and that the UF guys were "so l337 haxxrs" who would not hesitate checking this because "not enough l337" for them.

No.891
whether you believe this or not I'm someone who worked (still sort of working) on this project
1. it's not dead, just on a hiatus while we finish something large
2. lead writer suggested the project was going in the wrong direction and we're rewriting a lot of it
3. expect content soon
4. the writer who started it didn't expect it to blow up like it did (the fucking blogspot was literally getting 1000+ page views a day) and tried to get too many things done at once and burned out (that's really the cause for the hiatus)
if you have other questions (within reason) i can offer answers if anyone here is still alive
No.892
>>891Well (assuming that what you've said is not a lie), this is something I'm really glad to read. It's good to know you guys are still working on it.
I was really sad when /x/ and fuckfiction abandoned the investigation because 'you didn't post more puzzles', and specially since you all stopped your activity afterwards. This was really entertaining for me, and it was cut off so suddenly…
Now, can I ask for some M3Ps draws? I really love her art. It can be a proof that you're still working on it too, or some kind of preview.
Also, is Maverick somehow inspired in Multivac?
No.893
>>892Actually, it really wasn't anyone's fault but our own. The whole thing started as an experiment, and due to the reaction it got on /x/ it spread to reddit, then to unfiction, and to blogs all over the place.
What really shut it down was, the writer wanted the project to grow with the audience, but that became really problematic. We wanted the site to be something you stumble upon, and get a feeling of "there is something not right with this website". A feeling of discomfort. That's the root of a good ARC, feeling like the world you're getting involved with is real. This was especially difficult considering how fictional the world is.
Regardless, all of those conflicting subjects came together, and it was decided by all of us, we needed to sit down and rewrite what we had. Really, at the start, there wasn't a story except for the webcomic story. Everything involving M3Ps grew around what people did. MAv3rick was a product of that too.
Really, in terms of websites, the problem was the project got too much attention too fast. When it started it was one person, then it grew to 10, and now its about 5 or so. But that still wasn't enough because we all have lives outside this and it was a hobbie for us. We couldn't keep up with what we wanted to do.
And sadly I can't offer art, because anything new is pretty much all spoilers. I can tell you were working on music though, a lot of it pretty neat.
And lastly, another reason we are taking the hiatus is so people forget about the project, we felt it was getting the wrong kind of attention. An ARC relies on it's audience, and we were being bombarded with waifu fags. And that was because the direction the story was going. Our own fault really.
