I found his video on magickal journals to be very helpful because my life got to a point where I'm able to have a semi-regular spiritual practice, which means I need a system to write everything down.
Being able to look back on your progress is very helpful, but I can't be writing on loose papers forever so I got into bookbinding a while ago and made some small books for practice. I'm waiting for a chance to try out the coptic stitch method (apparently it works well for big books, which is exactly what I need), but I'm missing a good awl. Piercing multiple sheets of paper with a sewing needle is too slow and painful to be viable for a project like this.
