How do I rent server space? What will it cost? I doubt there will be more than one thousand hits a month.

As content goes, on the table so far is a front page with news/banner/navigation links. Other pages will be photos/descriptions of past installs, description of his ethics, and info on the stores he buys fireplaces from.

Since I doubt this will need a dedicated server, just find a server that will host it for you. Just look up "best web hosting 2012" or something, and things should pop up.
I found this - http://www.bluehost.com/ it's fairly cheap, too. :>
just use the business name as a domain. h

If you just want simple HTML+CSS hosting, you can always find it free.

http://www.awardspace.com/ I used to use this free plan back in the day. Looks like it hasn't changed much. I'd suggest trying their free hosting plan, since 250bg storage and 5gb per month is way more than you need.

Also, you'll probably want a domain. I get all of my domains at http://dynadot.com/ and they're generally $9/year. Domains are super cheap. Once you buy a domain you should be able to connect it to the awardspace account, ask them how if it isn't straightforward.
