While I enjoy the Astro Boy anime as somewhat of a novelty due to it's quirks (severely limited animation and poor audio), the Astro Boy manga is actually a pretty good mix of action sci-fi and speculative fiction. Some people are turned off by the dated look but I generally like the look of manga from the showa era because I like to watch how styles for manga have evolved.

Oh man, Go Nagai is my shit, tho my favorite versions of Cutey Honey were Shin and RE as it turns out.

I have really enjoyed the tokusatsu I've watched from the showa era, so far including Robot Detective K, Kamen Rider, Kamen Rider Black, Battle Fever J, and a lot of Godzilla films my favorite of which so far being Godzilla VS Megalon because PUNCH PUNCH PUNCH. Not that I didn't enjoy the first one for actually being kind of deep.

I posted this link for the 1900's collab.

Brings me back a lot of memories, this one. I enjoyed this so much, there were some funny moments in there like the fake lion in the Zoo episode.

It was bought to me via a charity shop, and it stills brings me back to my childhood.
