An online version of the famous cooking manual by Pellegrino Artusi. While most of its recipes are now shunned by hip and 'modern' chefs, this manual is generally considered to be the Bible of italian cooking. Since it was meant as a guide for improving the eating standards of Italy, it uses fairly basic ingredients, and it deals mostly with plebs level eating.
Afaik, the manual is only available as a near out of print $50 hardcover, and a few odd recipes scattered around. If you see any title that piques you but can't read Italian I'll be glad to translate.
