Shit music in the 90s had a kind of campness you could appreciate though. It's like they've purposely tried to get rid of that in 00s-10s music probably to remove that sort of stigma from pop, make it sound more like srs songs but it just sounds dull.

Loads of bands I listen to in the 90s, some have been mentioned.

Trip Hop was great, I see Becoming X mentioned, great album.

I think chart/radio played music was better in the 90s.

90s is kind of when the whole goth thing exploded into a variety of subgenres(you had the more industrial/electornic sounding stuff, but also the more Dead Can Dance infleunced, hippyish/pagan sort of stuff), and when a lot of the time happened to electronic music.

Oh yeah, forgot about Collide. Their later stuff is a bit more trip hoppy which I prefer but this album had a really unique atmosphere(and was actually released in the middle of the 90s, rest of their stuff is 2000s).

I just remember the 90s is when the Nu Metal thing started, even though it *feels* like more of an early 2000s thing sometimes. Korn's first album was something like '94 though and Freak on a Leash was 98? Seems more like 2001, but things got replayed a lot on MTV and shit.
