There's a bug in the software which causes a "ghost" of a deleted thread to remain in the board index until another post is made in that board. The index rebuild function isn't being properly called on thread deletion. Unfortunately, Vichan has now stopped being maintained regularly, just like Tinyboard before it, (and the maintainer stopped giving a shit a while ago), so we either have to maintain the code ourselves or just deal with it. This is the most stable and complete imageboard software I'm aware of currently, though Lainchan's fork might be worth checking out.
tl;dr It's a bug that happens when we delete a thread and the guy who maintains our software got bored.
>>2452It's not a real thread so you can't report it. It'll go away on its own when someone posts in that board. Mods do check reports. Also worth noting, mods might dismiss a report if we don't feel it actually violates a rule, that doesn't mean we ignored it.
