What sucks is anything remotely like discord (stoat is one) will just inevitably become what discord has if it becomes the next big one. IRC is great and I've been using it again, but it does lack some features. Namely vc, but a few other small things. Though the average discord user probably wouldn't be okay with the frivolous features clogging the app being gone in whatever they swap to. I really don't miss the days of mumble and team speak for voice calls.
