After some problems with Windows 10 being Windows 10, I was reading for some time about Linux being a great alternative. I'm extremely green about how actually Linux works, tho I heard that is less complicated to use in comparasion to years ago. I would like to know user experiences about using the penguin operative system (especially for Steam games or emulating PS2 or Gamecube).

My personal experience with Linux on desktop is kind of rough, but in terms of gaming - overall butter smooth. I was able to play a certain anime game on Debian through Wine perfectly fine. Aside from that and Minecraft - I didn't try to play anything else.

But a system update has killed my NVIDIA drivers and I was locked out of GUI, so I have accepted my defeat and returned to Windows 10 Enterprise. At least on desktop.

I'm afraid to update the system on my laptop after that, since it also runs Debian and has proprietary NVIDIA drivers installed and being used.

For Steam games and emulators - look up Lutris. That's what I used to game on Linux.
