They're attention whores at best, 8ch-level toxic at worst. They are actively damaging the perception of people who actually have legitimate mental disorders, making it harder for people to take them seriously.

A&Q:
1) Yes, they are fake. Stuff like "typing quirks" is a dead giveaway.
2) You can just ignore/block them. Going after them is just giving them more attention.
3) No, people with those disorders do not actually post like that.
4) It's because they are making a mockery of actual disorders (and often sexualities).
5) No, they aren't trolls. At least not most of them.

You can find plenty of examples by searching #plural or #system on any big SM.

Why are these people allowed on the internet?

Pretty sure the situation OP described has been happening for far longer than that.
Anecdotal evidence might be meaningless but I saw people acting that exact way back on 2012-2013.
