While i have a healthy respect for religion's place in the world as a political instrument that's useful for controlling the unwashed masses, i think that on an individual's level it's just a mental tool for those who have a self-perceived lack of strength to carry themselves forward on their own, regardless of whether gods exists or not. Therefore i choose to believe in my own aptitudes instead of waiting for someone who may or may not exist to help me out. My spirit is too fat and juicy to fit in any one religion, my mind is too logical to fallow any dogmas. Get on my level, pleb.

Look at the shaolin warriors who spend hours every day perfecting their art or meditating with systems that buddhists have been developing for centuries to explore the nature of experience, or look at abrahamic monks who make art and music together to deepen their connection to God and tell me these people aren't way, way more fulfilled than you. Religion is more than burgers telling Jesus to guide their bullet to the tasty dog.

No it's not, because if it was then you'd have already had to have spent long months and years recognising and expunging the dogmas of experience, and if you did that and shared your findings you would end up a religious leader yourself. Religions aren't "true", they are reflections in a pond filled with water donated by hermits and ascetics under a weird sky.
