If the interest is big enough, is there any possibility of a cracked server with an Authentication plugin?

Wait, people still play minecraft? I'm not joking, I legitimately thought that most of its activity has died out by now.

>>18783It's paid Minecraft hosting so I don't know if the provider will allow a cracked server or not. Uboachan's web server doesn't have the muscle to run Minecraft.
I did add plugin support and upgrade to 2gb ram, but this mapgen mod is not compatible with Bukkit, so instead we're running an API called SpongeForge and only have access to a more limited set of plugins. I'll have to look into whether an auth plugin exists.

>>18786I think it is just a change in the server settings (vanilla mc server). in server.properties, there is an option called online-mode, set that to false, and people with cracked or pirated clients can join. I think the original intent of that feature was to allow LAN play without having to connect to the internet.
Doing so might make it much harder to ban unwanted people tho, since they're no longer banned based on their id provided by mojang. Just change your name and rejoin.

>>18787An authentication plugin would solve that problem however.
Sorry for the double post. Forgot to add that comment at the end.

>>18783>>18788Unfortunately there is not currently a decent authentication plugin for SpongeForge, so the risk is too great.

>>18829It's actually very configurable, but I'm keeping the default configuration for now. I don't want to reset the map. I may investigate the possibility of generating multiple worlds with different settings on the same server.

>>18844I'm more just curious as to whether it's actually possible, and when I say a crazy level of generation I mean completely removing terrain generation and replacing everything from ground level down with extremely densely packed city structures, enough to create a mostly solid surface

Someone complained earlier that since mobGriefing was disabled on the server, villagers can't farm or pick up / share food. I looked into it, and I was able to re-enable mobGriefing while specifically disabling creeper and enderman griefing using plugins. So villager stuff should work now.

>>18846Yes, looking at the configuration files, I think that might be possible.
