how would you even continue the danganronpa story? v3 is its own thing that wrapped up neatly, and the hope's peak saga is over, so what now?
No.7027
>>7026is hundred line good
i started it and then realised i hated the artstyle. i just wanted more danganronpa, not another game by the same creator
No.7028
>>7027You know you can just look for fan content if you want more danganronpa just saying
No.7032
>>7029i've been spoiled on it and i don't know enough to give you a proper answer. i want to play v3 after finishing the hope's peak saga, but is it even worth it? i can only imagine how much better an unspoiled experience would be, and it depresses me that i'll never get that. i know basically every plot twist, even if not the actual story. is it still worth playing? i want to, but i'm so annoyed by the fact that the twists have been spoiled that it makes the game hard to enjoy and get immersed in
No.7033
>>7032like, genuinely, is it even worth playing? no more spoilers, but should i just give up on it?
No.7035
>>7034yes to giving up on it? i really want to play it, but i just can't get immersed if i feel like i'm two steps ahead of the characters. is there a fix for this?
No.7036
So uh danganronpa 2 is getting a remake for some reason
https://youtu.be/M8LGot_GCEE?feature=shared(Where’s the remake of the first game spike chunsoft wtf)
No.7037
>>7036not just a remake, it has (i think) an alternate killing game with different victims and culprits and stuff, which actually does sound interesting (coming from me, who is danganronpas biggest hater) although i'll be sad if fuyuhiko dies
i agree dr1 would have been a cooler game to do this with, i think dr2 is just more popular.

>>7038oh shit you're right, fat byakuya might survive lol
No.7048
>>7047this is tru but also please can you tell me according to my above post number
>>7032 if danganronpa v3 is worth playing i really want to but i dont want my first time playtrhough to be ruined so maybe i should play something else and wait to forget the spoilers but i might not forget them and that would suck because then i've waited fdor noithing ok thank you
No.7049
>>7048I’d say just go for it cuz the ui looks nice I guess and the mini games during the class trials can be fun (I mean it has the only good version of hangman’s gambit so yeah) and trust me even if you’ve been spoiled to the plot twist (as evident as this guy
>>7029 posted) considering the game is over like 60 hours long there’s a ton of stuff you haven’t been spoiled to yet so go for it
tl;dr play v3 no matter what
No.7050
>>7049ok
should i wait to chew and swallow the hope's peak saga first? i've wanted to review the series for a while, maybe i should write a review first? or maybe that would put me back in the analytical mindset and make things worse…. what do you think?
No.7051
>>7050Nah just go for it you’ll be fine the game is completely unrelated to the hope’s peak saga
No.7052
>>7051ok thank you but if the game SUCKS DONKEY DICK it';s YO're fault
No.7053
Ok anyways
>>7047Hell no teruteru’s not surviving all my bets are on nagito so he can live and have his wedding with sans
(If he actually does then I’ll pretend hajime is sans cuz I guess people also ship them I guess???)
No.7054
>>7050i mean that would i have a greater appreciation for v3 if i waited a few weeks?
No.7057
>>7054Yeah sure whatever just for it
No.7060
>>7059yuh, super uncanny adobe aftereffects turbo mode. i hope it's just for the trailer and they don't look like that in the actual game :P
No.7061

>>7061yuh exactly :P
ALSO another complaint i have is that on all the original sprites, there was a very soft "canvas" or "watercolour paper" texture laid over the top of each sprite, which added to the crafty, hand-drawn feel. even in the more polished styles of udg and v3, it was there and it really added a lot.
No.7063
>>7037So apparently danganronpa 2x2 (the new killing game) isn’t gonna connect to the danganronpa 3 anime and the reason they didn’t do this with danganronpa 1 is cuz lore shit which doesn’t make sense to me and cuz no one in danganronpa 2 actually dies
I know what I said doesn’t make sense a lot but here’s the source
https://youtu.be/7pqHEkKfFOc?feature=shared No.7067
>>7062also another thing i forgot to mention was that there's a good reason 2dlive is used for the executions, it looks uncanny and uncomfortable and not good :P
No.7068
>>7067They use a v-tuber software for the execution animations
Damn I never knew that (unless they’re using it for 2x2 if so then omegalul)
No.7069
>>7068i dont know if its acutally 2dlive but that same style is used for the executions and animated cgs BECAUSE it looks weird so it sucks that its being used for the regular character animations too
No.7070
>>7069Still it’s miles better than ai

also i miss the canvas texture that was superimposed on top of the sprites ;_;

ok but like i finished danganronpa v3 and i see why nobody likes the ending? like upon hearing about it i thought the "everything is fiction" angle was really cool, especially when contrasted with conflicting evidence that suggests that it IS real? but i was expecting moreso like shroedingers cat, layer upon layer of evidence and counterevidence (kind of like doug ratman's fate in portal 2 if you know what im on about) but instead it felt kind of half arsed. i'm watching a retrospective video to see if there's anything i've missed but honestly it was kind of poorly paced and disappointing?
also it felt super preachy until up at the end where it's like "oh the public likes the characters more than the killing game" but honestly for the whole thing i never felt like i was in tune with shuichi or even keebo? it sucks? i mean i wouldn't mind the preachiness as long as i felt like the one preaching or otherwise not on the receiving end of the message? idk what do you guys think
No.7076
>>7074Let me share a few positives I have about v3’s ending (they’re not positives they’re A LIE just shit that makes me laugh)
I like the stuff that the twitch chat say like “omg keebo bless”, “dang it grandpa”, “Shuichi looks yummy <3” and my personal favorite “my darling assassin T_T” (all of those are real trust me)
And I find it so funny that during the argument armament against twitter one of the lines is “this guy should’ve died instead of Kaede” like lol lmao even they actually predicted an actual argument in the fandom
And yeah that’s it I have no other words except this ending tells you to touch grass basically
No.7077
>>7076the dangit grandpa got me
No.7079
>>7076>argument armament against twitterHOLY SHIT that took me so long
i listened to the soundtrack long before playing the game and it sucks balls that the actual hype argument armament music literally only plays for that single one and in literally every other one it's just "PI PI, PU PI PU PO" over and over again
also genuinely argument armament was just not fun at all, couldn't read any of the fucking words, even more shit than panic talk action, PLEASE bring back bullet time battle for 2x2
also i REALLY FUCKIGN HATED how tsumugi immediately lost literally all of her personality the moment she was confronted, genuinely boring as shit
No.7080
>>7076An actual positive I did find neat was the part where you have to intentionally fail the mini games to further show you’re rejecting tsumugi
Also the line “this ending sucks” from the argument armament where kerbs is possessed by twitter gets me every time even with the knowledge of the actual fandom reaction to it
(Also good fucking god it’s brutally hard like Jesus Christ why did they have to make it so bullshitingly hard I mean I guess it makes sense it’s hard cuz you’re “argueing” with a ton of people but good god)
No.7081
>>7080
>An actual positive I did find neat was the part where you have to intentionally fail the mini games to further show you’re rejecting tsumugi yeah ok but it felt really preachy, like i never felt like i was part of it, or in tune with shuichi? just me or is this normal?
No.7083
>>7082yeah kind of but also the initial crashout
like she has no passion or obsession over the beauty of her le glorious fiction or whatever, and the whole setup of her being like REALLY into the fictional world never actually pays off like at all, her whole personality becomes super generic and banal despite her clear love for fiction and cosplay and all that. i genuinely felt nothing when she died, or when she said anything that would otherwise be remotely passionate. genuine nothing burger mastermind. prove me wrong
No.7084
>>7082>tsumugi lost her personalityDon’t you mean she “loss” her personality?
