If Mado's eyes are closed shut, why are Yuki Onna effect eyes red-colored? Unless she has red eyelashes or something.

If you're talking about the Anime style, this isn't their whole "media". It has roots in trying to be different, same as how Anime characters have imaginative hair colours.
Traditional Japanese art tends to draw people with small eyes.

Ok, but YN is a sprite game, there's not much room to draw very detailed eyes. Also, we are given a closeup of Monoe, who has somewhat large eyes, (for presumably stylization/youth) but they still look pretty Asian to me. The eyes on Monoe's sprite are the same as Madotsuki's.

tl;dr Mado's eyes are open and your argument is invalid.

Madotsuki and Monoe have the same styled eyes.
Monoe has a closeup of her face during an event.
She has typical asian styled eyes.
Therefor we can infer Madotsuki has the same eyes.

So she does have red eyes in the YukiOnna sprite.
