Does anyone else soemtimes mispronounce uboa as Ubob, as in like you bob?

 No.395

Not… really… XD
Sometimes I purposely say "Ubwa!" though.

 No.396

>>394 No, but soemtimes I mispronounce soemtimes as sometimes.

 No.397

I just say Uboa. (you-bow-ah)

Wow. These are just… weird.

Also, it's amusing to see how westerners make fun of the way the Japanese speak english, when the westerners fail miserably at Japanese as well…

(On the other hand, it feels good to have a native language which phonologically similiar to Japanese. We can pronounce any Japanese word accurately.)

You're making some awfully prejudiced statements. What's the proper pronunciation?

 No.400

OO-boh-ah

 No.401

The way the Japanese say "U" simply can't be pronounced in english, but the "-boa" at the end is something like "woah" in english.

Soemtimes I misuse the word mispronounce when I meant to say misused.

Actually now that I thinka bout it I meant to say 'misread' instead of 'mispronounce.' Which means I have no idea what >>398 is talking about.

 No.407

I always said "O-Boo-ah". Is that bad?

Is the O pronounced like Uu or the letter O?

Its how the japanese think he screams sound like.
Just like how they think cats go Nya, and dogs go Wan Wan or something like that.
Its fucking weird, i don't understand it, but if i had to guess, its because our way of speaking and accents are different, like how old English poems used to rhyme, don't now because of the way we speak English has changed.
But, i say, Oh-Bow-wah.

 No.436

i always just said uu-boh-ah.
i'm really lost about the pronunciation anyway cause everyone says different things -^-

I'm pretty sure this one is right.
Technically, you would need to pair it with a Japanese accent since Japan has slightly different sounds that can only really be said with an accent, but if you really don't care about accuracy like that, uu-boh-ah is fine.

 No.440

Actually, it's pronounced "ウボア".

 No.452

>>394
i…

i am now going to call him ubob and nothing else

 No.461

I've been always pronouncing it as oo-boh-ah, though english is not my native language.

Ubob
