Today's the day.

I'm waiting for a call that will tell me where my shared hotel room is. A few people booked together to lower the cost.

I meet up with #fanime (Fanime-Channel) around 1pm in the main convention hall. Fanime-Channel is a sort of club I ended up in, that does meetups all year, culminating in Fanime. We're doing a group cosplay this year. I'm supposed to meet them in about an hour.

We stand in the preregistration badge line for several hours. It takes twice as long as normal due to some technical difficulties and an hour-long power outage in a two mile radius.

I'm currently at Anime North and the only noteworthy cosplays I found were Shizune, Misha, and Madotsuki.

Though rumor has it that there's a Rin cosplayer out there. I must continue my search.

It's over. I went home. Closing is Monday, but I have work. Overall it was a damn lot of fun.

The founder of Fanime-Channel told us that he created it when he got home and realized, to his horror, that he wasn't at Fanime anymore. I can understand his feelings. The channel exists to hold us together until the next convention. We go to the cherry blossom festival, have parties, and meet up on Saturdays.

Well, it's going to be hard to wait a whole year to go back. It's like that sinking feeling when you get home from Disneyland.

On the upside, I might be going to Anime Expo next month.
