Japan town is so cool! I love the music there, too. Have you ever gone into the shopkeepers place? It's so homey and cute.

Japan Town is one of my favourites too! its gorgeous. A lot of people whine about yume 2kki not being enough like Yume Nikki/not scary enough,but i love the variety of different levels and honestly i find a lotof them way more beautiful

I like Japan town too, though I am more partial to the deciding street (it's so surreal and dreamlike, in my opinion)and the museums.
Hands down, my favourite area is the Dark Room. It's got this really soothing, short music loop, and the super-cute demon girl resides there. Not to mention the lovely tiles and just the overall feeling of being in a cozy but richly fitted hotel room.

My favorite place is the one with Painter-kun (I recently found him) because it' sreally cute and when I get the chainsaw, I'm definitely killing him.

My favourite location has to be theatre world. The BGM is wonderful and the graphics are also kickass.
I also love cutlery world. Cake girl is one of my favourite NPC, and the fact that both the background graphic and tileset were made by the artist for yume nisshi only adds to the greatness.

Graveyard World. There's something unsettling about it, but, I honestly can't decide between the little creatures running around everywhere, the mildly confusing music, or the vomiting shapes everywhere.

My favourite zones are both the beaches and the area accessed from one of them, for which you have to be either the Fairy or the Small effect (thing).
The music in all of them is amazing.

Another place I love is the Forest Carnival, as the wiki calls it.
The surrealism of that place is delicious.
