I've made it into Strangler Eyes… And it gave me the Marginal Effect. It has no portrait or waking animation, though. Urotsuki changes to normal when waking up.

There's a bug involving Marginal Effect and the Trophy room. When you drop Marginal, upon taking it again, it turns into Polygon Effect…

I improved the Wiki's guide to locating the Marginal effect.

For me, the effect's trophy pedestal doesn't give me the Polygon effect, but rather tells me that I re-obtained the Marginal effect, though it doesn't reappear in the Effects menu. Additionally, the light underneath the pedestal does not deactivate, even after repeated interactions.
