Pretty poor. Dad left for work 4AM every morning, came back 6 in the evening. We ate shit. We drove shit.
We still do.
I can't really bitch that much because I've never been without a roof or food, but in mundane terms fairly poor.

I grew up in a small apartment, was fairly poor but I didn't feel it that much as a kid, and thought everything was normal.
Then I grew up. Things happened, I ended up homeless for a while. After that I moved back into the apartment I grew up in which was now mine alone and had enough money to barely get by. I sometimes wouldn't have enough for food at the end of the month, or things like shampoo or toilet paper.
I've been doing better recently. I always have food and basic convenience money and can go out every now and then.

Grew up middle class, parents actually had alot of money back then, but spent too much on useless crap, then father got layed off while i went to a private school, which was no use whatsoever btw, and he started fucking with stock and bought a shitty car whose repairs costed alot.
We still pretty middleclass, but parents are pretty greedy in a way, they buy stuff because its cheap, ignoring if we need it or not while still spending money on useless crap we dont need and got too much of already.
Il prolly spend alot on alcohol and cigs, since now i cant afford to but yeah il be poor.

grew up rich, ended up poor. I have this huge fucking castle that i currently reside in because my grandfather died. I'm trying to get it sold, but nobody is buying it because it's a castle in the middle of nowhere, not to mention some parts are really out of state. So for the last year i've just been eating ramen like a king.

I don't say that to be mean or clever or anything either. In fact a lot of the times people post it's unnecessarily fucking aggressive and you can tell it's mostly because the person is insecure, but it's still kinda mean.
Anyhow fairly poor OP.

Grew up poor, was below the poverty line at some point, but now I'm livin fairly middle class. Being poor wasn't so bad in my situation because I had a supportive extended family so I can't really complain. Still sucked going to friends' houses and seeing that their room was almost as big as my entire house.

Middle kinda class I guess, but it was weird. We probably did some stuff that might've be considered "lower" but that saved money and was why we were able to have some nicer things.
Plus Dad grew some weed over the years and was good at gambling, so there was extra income to have some decent tech in the house and for him to treat me.
I've definitely sunk lower now by choice because I want to do the least work I can, but I still have all the left overs from when I left home a couple years ago now: my decent computer, laptop, cellphone, tablet, 3DS, DS, PSP, e-book reader etc. so things don't really feel different even tho I got very little money.
Plus they make it so easy for poor people to buy shit they can't afford, got this 50in HD TV at $3pw for a couple years or something. It might end up costing $50 more than buying it up front but whatever.

Or maybe they studied hard for 3 years, got decent grades and got some good work experience before being hired by a startup run by their older brothers friend before being bought out for big bucks by Google.

Lived with my grandparents in an Upper-Middle class neighborhood for a good portion of my life because parents couldn't afford good housing. Moved out with parents, now moving from one shitty area to another, not used to it because I have a well-rounded accent and I really don't fit in a lot of the time.
No.16254
upper middle class, at least I think so. Our household income puts us in top %25 for USA. And I have no siblings.
My parents still instill me the fear of work, even though they made real estate investments they always say the rentbuks will not be enough when they die.
No.16406
I've pretty much just teetered on the lower end of middle class since I was born. I've been pretty much broke for the better part of a year and living with friends, so I'm returning to college after a hiatus of four years.

The Self Sacrifice runs strong.
No.16486
Upper-lower class. Hasn't really changed. I was raised by my mother who was and still is on disability pension in my country.
No.16534
Lower class honestly, my parents were overly angry and rather uneducated, single mother, poor dad relationship, I don't see myself rising out of the dust and climbing some monetary financial ladder they both missed, instead I want to work on character and be more respectful than they were to other people sometimes. I do not ask for much, only wanting food, drink, internet, a couple of subscription services, roof over my head and somewhere to rest myself at night, I have no desires for mansions women fame wealth, I am content with my love delusions and what I get paid for having various mental and chronic mental disorder.
