Currently living with my dad, of course rent free.
Saving enough to rent an apartment for 6 months and try and get a shitty job good enough to live. Rent around here would be.. 200 dollaroos a month, but that can't help you since I'm not in America..

>>13931Where can you live for $200 a month?
It's $1000 a month here for most places and that's not including utilities/internet
I pay $280 a month for rent but I still live at home

>>13932Not the guy you're asking, but if you're willing to throw yourself into very bad neighborhoods and cities you can find an ocean of low budget apartments for 300 per month.
Oh, but, if you have alternatives then I would definitely recommend against such a thing!

I'm lucky to have an apartment I don't have to pay rent for. Half of it was my dad's, after he died it went to me, and mum moved out years ago.
There's still utilities, but it's not my money. Ends up being about 100-150 euros a month. Mum pays for it. I dropped out of hs 5 years ago and didn't manage to stand up on my feet, so no job or savings. I'm working on it though, being a leech and doing nothing isn't nearly as fun as it might seem.
Northern europoor btw.

>>13978Looks like I'm moving to Europe..
No but seriously with my savings I could live there for 3 years without working and if I were to move out here it'd last me 6 months (if that)
Is the minimum wage low there or something like that? I'm so confused at the moment

>>13979Dont be too sure about that, europe is in the same shit as the rest of the world now.

>>13979Wages are lower in some parts, higher in others. Europe isn't one country and wages/living expenses vary.
>>13980Nowhere else in the developed world is quite as bad as the US as far as social welfare is concerned. Also, there's the whole thing about forced debt.

Isn't there government housing in america? Where they just take a percentage of your income and that's your rent? You have to sign up for it and are put on a waiting list though. I'm not too sure about the details but might want to look into it if you're in America. Maybe other countries have it too.

>>13983i don't think its too long just a few months or something like that. if you're living somewhere for nothing it might be a good idea to sign up when you still have the chance. though that might just be the area i live in. it all depends on the city you're looking at. try other cites around were you live too. though i'm not too informed on this so might be wrong.
