Standard expected body routine.
-Mind initialisation some time after the sun shuts off, around 22:00ish. I usually wake in the sitting position, and just shift around to one slightly more vertical. My first thought is an excited "Yay! I get to be alive another day!"
-If off, turn on the low, dim light behind my chair. Thick, black trash bags decorate the windows to block the day's yellow face.
-Wake my sweet MacBook Air surfboard and cruise the waves. Regularly adjusting body position becomes imperative when you surf for 12+ hours. Crossed legs and "L"-ish perch are common.
-Sustenance and waste removal throughout day as needed. I eat too many sweets, especially Reese's or cookies. My one regular easy daily food is "pizzadilla", my own invention. You just put cheese and pepperoni on a tortilla, and then set an iron on it. I also like to drink a lot of tea, chosen from my varied stocks.
-Short walk at some point. Usually through the sidestreets of a downtown area in my medium-sized city, or along the shore of the cosmic ocean (Michigan lakes).
-2 or 3 AM has always been a special time for me. The world seems most calm and dark right then. I usually try to do especially special things at that time. Yume Nikki is perfect at this time.
-Sometimes I do just literally nothing, and it's so relaxing. Some people call it meditation or being lazy, but for me it's essential and rejuvenating. Sometimes there are racing thoughts, sometimes it's a calm nothing. For me, it is so very comforting that it's always an option to pause and take it easy.
-Sleep when tired happens. Usually the daylight makes me tired. Sometimes I sleep for 3 hours, and wake for 12, sleep for 2, etc. Other days are more like 6 hours rest 2 days waking.
There are various activities I'll try but they usually don't last too long. Games, reading, drawing/writing/creative stuff. The internet is magical, but when it becomes too repetitive, usually after 2 or 3 days, I'll go on an especially long 1-2 hour (or longer) walk, which effectively clears and resets my mind. Feels great. Once a week on Monday I'll bathe. Shaving face hair is every other day. Food shopping is about once a week, done in the middle of the night or early AM.
Online, choosing when to refresh favourite sites is up in the air. Sometimes it seems like they don't update enough.
-Game news sites. Mostly focusing on Nintendo and the indie game scene.
-Game editorial and hacking sites, providing excellent means of losing yourself in research for a few hours, like Racketboy, HG101, and RHDN. Researching a game you've never heard of, or learning more about a game you love.
-Refreshing dating sites for years, despite having yielded nothing.
-Youtube, old TV shows, movies, documentaries, provide endless mindless entertainment. On YouTube, my most recent regular favourite is this fellow called The Illusion. His free spirit and creative, piercing discourse on the true state of the world help support and enrich my own similar attitudes toward life. Giant Bomb I was into for a while, but lately they've changed to my dislike, and have been lacking.
My main forum is a secluded wild west of the internet called "Life, the Universe, and Everything". There are no rules on this live message board, which ends up feeling more like a chat room. Piracy and porn are rampant. Since 2008, it has been my life preserver vest, used far beyond it's capability, but still keeps me afloat. The population of LUE is present all hours of the day, largely unemployed introverted nerdy hermits living with their parents. Within this community, there are even cliques and groups. Threading in and out of all conversations are our own classic inside jokes and memes. I am especially fond of the late night crew. They are more calm and thoughtful, generating more interesting conversations.
Sometimes I try to use other regular messages boards, but their rules are just too limiting so I'm either banned or just lose interest because it's hard to function within restrictions.
The casual use of various imageboards allows for occasional hours-long spelunks, usually on game-focused boards. Sometimes paranormal, scifi, or nostalgic stuff. Lately I've been delving into anime-related boards, even though I'm not super into anime. That field has lots to offer.
IRC is also idling all day, with 20+ channels. Indication of new messages/highlights are always visible while surfing. I find a lot of new internet content and conversation out of IRC. IRC is a great time sink.
I keep AIM and Yahoo on, even though nobody from the old days is on there anymore, and nobody these days wants to us them when I offer. I guess Steam is the social vehicle of choice. Also Skype apparently with Uboachanners, even though it's the IM equivalent of Phasebook.
