sweet pic, daft punk is cool! I don't know how well known the artist "she" is, but they're pretty good for electronic and techno, that can be either calm or upbeat and exciting, with cute female vocals, and is kinda J-pop but usually in English. IS THAT ENOUGH CATEGORIES FOR YOU?

First off, I'm probably gonna have to break this into a couple posts due to all the links. Some of these are from games as well, so hopefully that's alright.
>Really kickass techno/electronica Ever listen to Onoken? He's a combination of electronica and instrumental. It depends a bit on the song, really. He sometimes uses female vocalists in his music as well.
Here are a couple of my favorites.

Cute music and J-pop I don't think I can help you with. It looks like this thread has enough of that anyway. Depressing but calming music sounds like you're describing Burial:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTT_GemAhtQ K.A. Electronica, it looks like you enjoy Daft Punk. In a similar vein there's Justice, and Danger. And all three are french.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqJu_3CPhC4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln4yI32reD0 As for what I like, the dubstep that is not all screaming wobble bass (which I've been told is "old-school" dubstep), 2-step, and similar (non?)genres. I'm sure there's some better way to define all that but honestly I have no clue. Oh also chiptune music. So, essentially this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2ZqZ53gqeI Also, saying "dubstep with no screaming wobble bass" gets funny looks from some people.

>>1682 I see chiptune artists. Surely, no such list is complete without Fighter X, and USK. And Knife City.
Also it is so refreshing to see people who talk about electronic music and don't JUST mention daft punk or Skrillex. Every person I've met in real life only seems to talk about those two. Not that they're bad, just, it gets tiring.
At this point I don't have much left I could honestly recommend to other people. Ital Tek is a personal favorite though, much more on the laid-back side of things.
