sweet pic, daft punk is cool!
I don't know how well known the artist "she" is, but they're pretty good for electronic and techno, that can be either calm or upbeat and exciting, with cute female vocals, and is kinda J-pop but usually in English.
IS THAT ENOUGH CATEGORIES FOR YOU?
SS502 and superjunior and ukiss, there's your k-pop!
First off, I'm probably gonna have to break this into a couple posts due to all the links. Some of these are from games as well, so hopefully that's alright.>Really kickass techno/electronica
Ever listen to Onoken? He's a combination of electronica and instrumental. It depends a bit on the song, really. He sometimes uses female vocalists in his music as well.
Here are a couple of my favorites.
AgitOhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Fe51eXndCc>Really depressing but calming music
Most of anNina's music would probably fit:
Secret of Evermore has some really nice melancholic/ambient instrumental songs:
Collosia Chamber 1http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dxsE2cZ0Fjc
Ivor Tower - Side Chambershttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=65RlH62e7F4
Ebon Keep - Castlehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mwafny-vL2Q
Also, some individual songs by other artists. Dunno how much all of these can be considered depressing, but they're at least melancholic:Bôa - Duvethttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4-PkAQcuZOwKizuato OPhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cOXIe_OWOoQSharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo Opening

Corpse Party and Silent Hill 2's osts have some nice ambient and creepy instrumental music. Not sure exactly what post-rock entails, but some songs do sound a bit rock-like, so maybe they fit.

(she's the vocalist for lots of Onoken's stuff as well)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ortB_zyhqc
The Katamari games have some nice jpop-ish songs with good female vocals as well.
Katamari Damacy - Lonely Rolling starhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9saTXWj78tY
Beautiful Katamari - Sayonara Rolling Starhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sje4PU8vw8M

Well, that's it. As for suggestions for me, I'm not all that great at classifying my musical taste, so I'll just say anything kinda simlar to the stuff I posted in these 4 posts would be nice.
Lol, weaboo music thread.
Cute music and J-pop I don't think I can help you with. It looks like this thread has enough of that anyway. Depressing but calming music sounds like you're describing Burial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTT_GemAhtQ
K.A. Electronica, it looks like you enjoy Daft Punk. In a similar vein there's Justice, and Danger. And all three are french.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqJu_3CPhC4http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ln4yI32reD0
As for what I like, the dubstep that is not all screaming wobble bass (which I've been told is "old-school" dubstep), 2-step, and similar (non?)genres. I'm sure there's some better way to define all that but honestly I have no clue. Oh also chiptune music. So, essentially this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2ZqZ53gqeI
Also, saying "dubstep with no screaming wobble bass" gets funny looks from some people.
SICK TASTE IN MUSIC MANE
w8 i meant justice/danger
surely u know mr oizo/sebastian too?>>1653
Wow everyone, thank you so much! It's gonna take me some time to check all of this out, but I will give it all a listen! :D>>1643
wow, you've really gone out of your way to find music for me, thank you! I'll see if I have anything good to suggest for you based on your own taste!>>1652
Danger is one of my favourites! *brofist*
u-ziq, Venetian Snares, Aphex Twin,
Squarepusher, Phlogiston, MisfitChris, goto80, virt, random, nullsleep, rushjet1, The Algorithm, Igorrr…
Search for Ame no Orchestra. One of the best I've ever heard
Sebastian I've heard of but for some reason never looked in to. I tend to do music searching in waves. I'll get to it eventually. Looks like I might benefit from this thread as much as the OP.>>1682
I see chiptune artists. Surely, no such list is complete without Fighter X, and USK. And Knife City.
Also it is so refreshing to see people who talk about electronic music and don't JUST mention daft punk or Skrillex. Every person I've met in real life only seems to talk about those two. Not that they're bad, just, it gets tiring.
At this point I don't have much left I could honestly recommend to other people. Ital Tek is a personal favorite though, much more on the laid-back side of things. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKfJwCBm2PU
Oh, and Computer Club has a few good tracks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ih4ySAXQUSo
You said you were looking for "Kick ass EDM" well I have the solution!!! LOLICORE!!!! Check these artists out.
>CJ Riezko (I think I spelled that wrong)
There. This shit will fuck your head up.
*Cute music (calm or upbeat) with female vocals
Humming Urban Stereo
*Good J-pop and K-pop
*Really depressing but calming music
*Post-rock/ambient/creepy instrumental music
Gold Panda and Tokimonsta
*Really kickass techno/electronica
Just gotta add Bloody Vomit Bukkake to your otherwise great list.
I can't believe I forgot…..
Thank you kind anon!
Do you want shitty post rock (you know, EITS and stuffs) or good post rock?
you forgot the original loli core man: loli ripe
God I'm so fucking retarded… And he was on my top scrobbles last week too….
It has come to my attention that you mention Corpse Party's ost. Would you happen to have a link for it? I've been looking for it but haven't had any luck.
powwoww, guMMyBeAR, zombelle, butterclock, oOoOO, whyte ring, ritualz.
Not sure whether appropriate, but I like this pretty much:
Uh, this is my band. Its Industrial Horrorwave/Aggrotech. Its uh, kickass i believe
Out of the top of my head, I can think of some relatively calm yet depressive songs. Try the following songs by VNV Nation:
>Really depressing but calming music
>Post-rock/ambient/creepy instrumental music
>Really kickass techno/electronica
>Really depressing but calming music
Purity Ring, oh my, these guys
If you like electronica, check out black sun empire. Good stuff.
K.Will is really good. His voice, lyrics, video; he's a helluva artist.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KVVPxexz1c

I've only been on this website a week and already I feel fucked.
