You liked “Capitães da areia”? I stopped reading it after around 10 pages or so. I just couldn’t read it more. I don’t remember exactly what made me stop, but when I was reading it I was around the same age as the kids in the book and the story was annoying me a lot. I’m curious, why do you like it so much?

This one is pretty much the greatest thing Colombia has ever produced.
I think the only thing that comes close is La Vorágine by José Eustasio Rivera and other novels by Garcia Marquez.

Le Balene Restino Sedute (Whales Please Sit Down) by Alessandro Bergonzoni. It's really good, sort of a non-sequitur writing experiment: instead of following logic, each 'event' is dictated by the final word of the previous.
Corpo (Body) by Tiziano Scarpa. A series of dialogues between the author and his various body parts.
