Hey, so I need help being able to play the game? Every time I open it, I can hit start and see her standing in the darkness but as soon as I press anything the game shuts down and gives me a text box with question marks in it. Waiting for something to happen does nothing.. And I see nothing in the folders to fix it. Help??

Use applocale or just change your locale. Also, please remember to install the Japanese RTP for RPG Maker 2000.
