Eh, I think you're noticing that there is a formula to the room designs. The pictures are too different to suggest more.

I would guess that both rooms have close to golden-ratio dimensions, and that the slight insets in the top corners are to suggest depth - it looks too flat if you don't have them.

There are too many similarities to call it a coincidence.

>wooden floors with the boards running east-west
>the outside border has the same grid-like pattern, with brightly colored squares at the corners
>holes in the floor in the .flow room coincide perfectly with cushions in Madotsuki's room

So .flow takes place in the same world as YN. It could be Mado's room in the future or it could just be another room in the same apartment. In .flow's canon, Mado shut herself off because of the rust disease.

Of course it could just be lolrust being lazy and using the tried formula of Mado's room

Yeah, that was pretty cool. I like that he left the door from the Shredded Diary sidequest in there too, though it would have been funny if the rest of the furniture was left as well.

The door is also located in the position where the Elevator appears later in .flow
So a hidden 2nd "door" there seems to be a trend.
