I always viewed the drink as tea. Black tea, because the bar/cafe has a distinctive western atmosphere, and green tea is seldom served in cafes in the western world.

Strangely enough I think there's human meat in the cake, but not in a creepy way. It's a dream and dreams are weird - there's no hidden meaning behind that or anything.

It sounds a lot more realistic for the drink to be tea, and it probably is, but I always thought of it as soda. I just have a hard time viewing all of the little bobble headed characters as being mature enough for something like tea. :P
