Maybe this belongs in /t/ but there's something heartwarming about his meaning in Madotsuki's dream. Most agree that if he represents a person from her waking life that he is a piano instructor. His spaceship is serene and peaceful, one of the few happy places in the game. I'd figure this means that Madotsuki has fond memories of her piano lessons and instructor.

It makes me warm and fuzzy inside to think of Madotsuki and Masada practicing a few old tunes together. It was a happy time in her miserable life.
