This actually sounds pretty damn neat so far, I like it!
I like the introduction of concrete environments (the Nexus being the maintenance room of an old arcade as opposed to a nondescript room solely for the purpose of ambiance,) I know it's been done in a couple other fan games-The Other Line comes to mind-but I really like this concept.
I also love Scott's design. c:
dammit somebody figured it ot orz
i might as well change it to vespa and guitar
File: 1327192983748.png (10.96 KB, 637x475, bedrooooom.png)
While were at it i might as well upload some screenshots. This is Scott's bedroom. I'm not so sure about it because it seems a little too … red. Im not sure. I'll just leave it up to you guys.
File: 1327193240537.png (22.1 KB, 634x474, nexusscreen.png)
Here's the arcade maintenance room/ nexus. Theres going to bee a metal door in the middle section wall.
At the beginning thereare 3 functioning dorrways, and after an event the 4th game's screen stops being static and starts acting as the 4th doorway. I'm also thinking about making the arcade down the street from the school. The cones dissapear once you enter the nexus from the arcade near the school. Maybe.
Tell me wha you think guys.
Okay, you have my attention now
*stares at arcade machines*
I'm telling you, reading about it is one thing, but seeing
the arcade machines has gotten me interested.
Actually, both of your in-game screenshots have taken my interest.
Im so glad you like the arcade machines :'D
also whoever guesses the games im making refrences too wins the internet
Gah i forgot how to tripcode orz
New tripcode now

Some misc plants
I'll make more probably
File: 1327293374374.png (16.49 KB, 639x481, SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE.png)
Screenshot of an unfinished space-themed area. The NPCs will probably be moon-dust people and ladies in dresses with moons for heads.
Also interacting with a large moon at the centre of the map will cause it to eclipse and drastically change the map.
Oh god oh man
That was supposed to look like a tubeworm.
But, whatever floats your boat.
Ahahahaha thanks man
Btw music makes me /crey/. I used to have a music guy who helped me work on a past game project (that was never finished) but he had to stop because of school and stuff. So atm i dont have any music, just sound effects.
I'm probably going to get FLstudio for the game sometime soon. As for me, I use Anvil Studio for composition, Wavepad Sound Editor for.. well, editing, and GXSCC for the8-bit music. To be honest, I just… shit out music. It's really fun for me to compose.
With that said, I'd be willing to do music for you guys, if you want me to. I love being a part of awesome things.
File: 1327295178717.gif (53.69 KB, 361x365, ReactionBear.gif)
Ohsweet baby jeebus that music is amazing
If your willing to do some music for my game THAT WOULD BE AMAZING
I could do some spritework/pictures in return if you like.
File: 1327296629925.png (44.07 KB, 639x477, gardeningmamascott.png)
Here have a screen of the (almost finished) garden world instead.
Fucking yes I would love that. Just shoot me an email with the details when you're ready to work with the music. Or you can hit me up for fun; I am okay with at too.
I'll go ahead and shoot you an email with a link all of the music I've got so far. Most of it is crappy, but a few of them like Title-2, Hum-1, Calm-2, 1, 2, 3, and BrokenRecord-1 sound decent to me.>>3287
I'm using Ambience: http://magnus.smartelectronix.com/#Ambience
I like it quite a lot, actually.>>3293
Why does that look so gorgeous.
Unrelated, I'll be downloading FLstudios some time soon, so I'm kinda psyched to see what I can do with that.
Yee.So excited you like the garden world.
Also ill be changeing the giant whit blob so it doesnt look like a ginourmous dildo.

Thoughts? It scares me. T_T
But really, it does. O_O
Not sure if it's High Octane Nightmare Fule though…Maybe, but I have enough of that already.
Also, the plants from >>3216
look really nice. I don't know what it is, but I really like how those plants look.
Hey yo -
I also want to help by your music if you want :u
I can do ambient BGMs if you want -
like this one http://www.4shared.com/mp3/wSWa2zyn/Angels_harp.html
I would be happy if i could help you c:
If you want my help - just add my e-mail adress
Holy crap thats amazing :D I had to make some edits so that it loops properly. >>3379
I could work something out. I think some areas could use a dark ambient theme.
File: 1327554644204.png (8.32 KB, 288x256, SCOTT.png)
Finished Scott's first spritesheet. Woop.
From left to right:
Roller Blades (2x Speed)
Aluminum Baseball Bat (Weapon)
Aluminum Baseball Bat (After Hitting someone)
Uniform (Gain access to once inaccessible areas of the school. Also cuts chaser speed in half (Maybe))
When Scott is hit by a chaser, there's a 50/50 chance it'll kill him. Once he's sent to the trapped area, He'll just lay there. The chaser that hit you determines what kind of "death" you have.
K guys. Gonna go take a shower. Night.
Edit: Re-uploaded them becuase i uploaded the wrong pic.
File: 1327575059001.jpg (66.65 KB, 500x375, 13660316.jpg)
Oh well -
I can do dark ambient music, but it will be harder for me, cause I compose very much sad /strange ambient music->>3387
Actually, I can make good seamless loops.but only with mixcraft :B
like this one - http://www.4shared.com/music/izFKCnWg/BGM_013.html
I looped it in mixcraft end edited it - and then you have an seamless loop that don't make weird sounds while looping in the game! lol.
Dat Double negative
Anyway, i dont not like ambient music, I just thought that you would be good at getting a dark feeling.
oh well -
If you still want my help just use msn or send me an email - and I do it, since I want to help by your awesome project. :u
>>3403> dead sprite
That's…pretty grisly. O_O
On another note, I personally like how the Pajama and Uniform effects look.
Woah, It sounds great man!
Would it be too much to ask for a simple bedroom theme ???
Ah I'm so glad you like it. Your like, one of my /fg/ idols, so this means a lot.
I've worked with various rpgmakers before so i'm pretty sure i understand most things. I'm constantly reading tutorials and guides do i have the hang of it. I think. The only things i'm a little iffy on coding are effects and stairs. Those two things are giving me major hell.

I can help with any eventing questions you have. The stairs stumped me briefly too, but if you crack open a game and look at it it's quite simple.
Here's what you have to make sure of:
1. Have the event on an impassable tile
2. Make sure it's the same layer as the player (If it's below you and on a tile you're supposed to walk on, it won't work properly)
3. This one's obvious: make sure that there's conditions based on the direction you're facing when you touch it.
Basically, the event setup should look like the picture.
File: 1327640806568.png (59.93 KB, 809x608, TSS2.png)
For effects, it's ideal to have the item flip a switch which calls the common event that handles all the operations needed to turn the effect on (changing the sprite, the animation, etc.) In this common event, an additional switch which tells the engine that the effect is "active" should also be flipped.
As always, feel free to crack my game open and take a look at anything you believe will help you with your eventing endeavours.

I've decided that the desert will have ruins
A sentiment I share greatly, especially in light of all the delays and cancellations that have been going on recently.
I really can't wait to get my hands on this thing, especially if Rusch lets me review it.
Yes. I plan to implement a glitch world some time soon With a fake blue-screen of death as an event
Puzzle world sounds interesting. I might add something along the lines of that.
Actually now that i think of it puzzle world sounds freakin sweet.

Is it the same problem your having? If so, >>3156
should be the answer.
Woops. Actually, the answer is more like >>3157
or >>3158…or maybe 3152. It's all in the same thread anyways, and in close proximity to each other.
I'm liking this progress report.
I'll be looking forward to playing v0.00 (hopefully on the designated day/s).
File: 1328579868942.png (13.3 KB, 639x476, amural.png)
So I'm not planning on posting a bunch of screencaps because there are some areas i want to save for the game release. But I would like to know your idea on this particular area.
When I was done working on it i found that it looked similar to the mural world from yume nisshi.
File: 1328579963885.png (164.74 KB, 638x476, lamps.png)
Also i took some photos in my backyard an i'm going to use them in the game. I was messing around with tileset x photos and I'm pretty happy with how some of the maps came out :D
Oh my gah…(O_O)
It's like seeing pre-rendered backgrounds all over again.
And I do love pre-rendered backgrounds.
Anyways, the mix of the game's graphics with the photo gives off this really strange feeling; like I just entered another dimension or something. Pretty cool if you ask me.>>3866
Well, I haven't played Yume Nisshi, so I wouldn't know how similar it is or anything.
But, I do like the look of this world here; those statues just draw my interest for some reason.
File: 1328769934034.png (16.63 KB, 635x476, newbed.png)
Hey guys. I thought the graphics were a little dated, so the earlier maps are going through a total graphics overhaul. Now he gets to the dream world by interacting with his television/vidya game, and he saves by sleeping.
Oh, okay! Sorry, I misunderstood you there.
I'm really looking forward to this—keep up the awesome work!
Hey guys. I'm just about finished with a tester v.0.00. there are no effects, so the speed is automatically set to x2. I'm sorry about the lack of effects (I blame that on my failure at coding them. I've looked at the other games and I've tried my best but they just won't work orz), and I promise to add at least 5 in version 0.00+, but for now this demo is here to give you a brief taste of what the game is like.
Please report any errors to me and I'll be sure to fix them.
Without further ado, version 0.00http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?l8p5a5bkz0s8aea
I fixed the sitting bug. It should work properly now. I've also reduced the size of the space world from 100x85 to about 50x45. I've also changed the giant mural maze to a small hallway, and changed the illumination/flower world to a smaller size. I also want to announce that the forest world is easily the largest any place will get. All of my worlds will be about 50x50, unless their easily navigable. I feel that this makes the game much more tolerable because it is easier to create and navigate.
I also fixed the sitting glitch.>>4011
I've fixed all the issues you've brought up. I hope the new version suits your needs better.
Here's the new DL:http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?7rcxxk74z8wm8uy
I played it its nice, but there is an bug.
after I saved and use the saved files, I "walk" in the sitting pose charset.
also the titlescreen music plays while I use the saved file. until I go into a new world and exit it, the music stops.
Wow. All these bugs just start popping up. Right now this game is in bugfixing/testing mode so its important to bring these things up. Thanks for pointing it out. I fixed the sitting glitch, and now I'm waiting for more bugs to pop up before i release a new bugfixed version.
And about the music, I haven't really seen, or rather heard anything about that, but I'll look into it.
It may seem like just another YN-like exploration game, but it has my interest none the less.
I like a lot of the settings. There are quite a few bugs though (I think).
I can't remember which one, but there was a problem with one of the diagonal paths in the "Rainy garden" area. I got stuck when I was walking down one. I'm not sure what the problem is.
There are also a few areas where either, once you enter you can't go back, or, you can't enter things which appear to be entrances.
I'm not sure if any of them are intentional but this is them:
- Librarium F1: The bottom right, the top of the staircase
- Librarium F1 rooms: there are two rooms with no exits on the bottom half of the map.
- Space crossroads: the entrance/exit in the upper left is there, but I think you can move 1 tile above it; thus, I didn't realize there was an entrance.
also, some passibility glitches:
- Librarium: You seem to be able to walk through the vertical bookcases.
- Murals: You can go behind the "desk" where the character who changes the system menu is. Plus, if you press the action while standing next to the character, the game pretty much freezes.
There may be more I'm forgetting.
I prefer "Whatever floats your fetish"
Also, scott is just cute. *Would sooo date him*
Love the work you've done so far, and the library idea just makes me go "eeee!" in happiness.
uploaded a vid with the bugs on YT http://youtu.be/cApP4cX1wEI
the music glitch appears just if you wake up from the irl world.
and then saves.
also in the irl world is an wall bug-
well that was everything what I found now.
Fixed all the errors you pointed out, as well as a few others I found.
I also forgot to put cones in front of the library stair. Its going to be an unreachable area, but will probably be completed in a later version.>>4065>>4063
Ahahaha I'm glad you guys … like it ?
File: 1330314960719.png (43.12 KB, 632x474, sunset.png)
Wow. The server's up again :D All faith has been restored in humanity.
Anyways, I made a tumblr for the purposes of posting game status updates while the server's down, but I guess I'll use it for art now.http://umbradevblog.tumblr.com/
And I made a bunch of new stuff for the game. I got about 8 effects completed, and made a sitting animation.
Plus I added some little gems. (pic related)
I love you forever.
Since I have some free time now if you need help with music I'll be glad to help.
Further discussion can be done in the IRC. (there's the web IRC client here if you're not inclined on joining permanently)
Just a short comment on the video:
The effect change sound is pretty loud and sounds cut off.
The general music is EXTREMELY loud. You should be able to hear the footsteps quite clearly. (a good followup joke to this would be: "THEN LETS MAKE THE FOOTSTEPS EVEN LOUDER!!")
Having the music in 1 area be only on 1 ear is very annoying btw. But if it's an "artistic decision" so be it.
I'm a bit disappointed with the sunset area music too.
Okay, enough about the music.
The TV event seems to lag. Is that the case?
The areas are designed well, other than the fact that the tilesets seem a bit dissonant from each other. The sand zone, the are around 2:30 (why are some tiles outlined while others aren't?) and most glaringly obvious is the underground train station at around 4:58 (the entrance feels cut together, the line before the tracks feels entirely out of place)
With all that said, I'm really liking this, and that is, in fact, why I'm criticizing it so much. I want it to be GOOD.
…Fuck, that wasn't a short comment at all, was it.
Okay, I made some of the music a little less loud. It didn't really seem that loud in my headphones but meh. I also fixed the issue with the subway station. On regard to the desert area, i have no idea what you're referring to. And the lag is caused because of the reduced framerate I was recording at.
If you don't like the music, consult my music guy. It seems that he's found his way onto uboachan, so I guess you just have to take it up with him. I've fixed everything you've pointed out, and now its time for more fixes. I appreciate the critique.
The music just feels very unfitting to the whole "sundown scene" type thing…It feels like it'd fit a much trippier version of the same area (Rusch, here's an idea: an area just like that with messed up colours and a different strange NPC thing that you can enter on a 1/32 chance!)
But yeah a sundown scene should have calming music.
(think about the seagull music in Yume 2kki for an example of what I mean by calming music)
It felt sort of weird, I think because the brick tiles feel a bit off when paired with the sand tileset.
I really dunno, it feels off to me.
Thanks for taking my comments to heart! Also, multitasking is hard. You have been warned.
File: 1331394870590.png (523.77 KB, 638x445, tothenads.png)
Hey, I've been considering adding dialogue to the game. What do you think? It won't be normaltext at the bottom of the screen, but text w/ a picture, like in Persona (pic related)
Also i think i might implement a notoriety meter, as seen in many different RPGs. Depending on what you reply with with either antagonize, help, and advise. Depending on which one of these is higher will determine how other NPCs react to you. Of course it will take a while to get the pictures done, but I'm much better at digital art than i am at pixel art, so it won't be too much of a hassle.
I might implememt a day-night system as well.
File: 1331417368240.png (25.41 KB, 638x477, dialogueexcerpt.png)
So i just finished working on a little bit of dialogue configuration. How does it look? I tried my best to work along with rm2k3's color restriction, so i hope it looks at least decent.
Sounds pretty good to me.>>4463
You are the boss now my friend. *_*
In other words; I think it looks magnificent.
Thanks for the support!
Some other people, as well as myself feel that it looks a tad messy, so I'll make some minor changes and then report back.
File: 1331442057984.png (160.52 KB, 784x900, 1329607971660.png)
I saw your screenshots on dA earlier today and commented on it. Came here and here's the thread. I will now be monitoring this thread. I await version 0.00+
Thank you. I will make sure to keep this updated regularly!>>4472
Its because I'm using madotsuki sprites as a base for some of the characters.
also if this looks really strange, I love that Idea. some dialogue in a yume nikki fangame is always good.>>4472
OKAY IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED THIS…
also noticed there are recolord sabitsuki sprites lol :u
File: 1331500591720.png (24.48 KB, 568x502, Masada_X_Piano_By_Yorshie.png)
Let me just say that I want to give this whole game a big hug. Me and this game can get married and have a bazillion kids. And a pet cat. So I would be Ms.WootUmbra.
File: 1331504287579.png (6.55 KB, 320x240, Scottface5.png)
Thanks for the support. And I guess the secrets out. Scott's sprite is a recolored Sabitsuki sprite. I tried my best to turn it into something that doesnt look like Sabi, adding the backpack and adding pants. I hope it isn't bad because there are no YN charset bases.>>4479
Yay thanks for the love! Have a Scott.
File: 1331506358091.png (33.73 KB, 639x478, Talk2.png)
Hey. Just wanna add a small update. Graphic wise, and game wise. These three screenshots show the various emotions and choices Scott can choose while in a conversation. A positive conversation adds 5 Good points to Scott's meter. And a negative one adds 5 Evil points. Depending on the amount of points you have will affect how NPC's will react to you. For example, if you have more than 30 Good points, NPC's will regard you as a hero, and if you have more than 30 Evil points, some NPCs will go as fas as to run away from you. You can check the amount of these points from the Skill toolbar in the menu. It will then show one of two options, "Wake up" and "Notoriety meter". Select the latter and it will show you how many of each points you have.
This also shows the changes I've made to Scott's character image.
Welp, This is the last update before i release version 0.00+, and I still have a lote to do. So, watch my ubuuchan thread for a bugtest release version!
A) Only if you fight me to the death first (and win!)
B)I don't think he needs that kind of mental scarring.
C)*OM NOM NOM* Too late.
File: 1331515581984.png (65.96 KB, 580x359, i_don__t_know_what_to_do_in_li…)
These all sound reasonable, though for the sugar cube I'd want to suggest tapping on his head to make some sugar fall off, and attract NPCs, instead of dancing. It just makes a bit more sense, I guess.
PS I had no idea the sabitsuki base for Scott was a secret. (it was quite obvious to a trained eye! Not to say it doesn't look good)
File: 1331549671882.jpeg (27.64 KB, 680x383, yunoyandereface.jpeg)
I'LL PROTRCT YOU SCOTT
File: 1331587409005.bmp (19.55 KB, 145x128, m.bmp)
Maria's sprite is also a Sabi recolour, I admit. I just saved the shoes.
I honestly didn't notice that Scott's was a Sabi edit, though.
Just really quickly posting ideas before I continue working on homework.
Quests: Ive considered adding some quests to the game. Completion if the quests will result in monetary gain as well as more good/evil points depending on the quest. Some quests will even result in the gain of effects. You can check your quest progress from the journal in the item section of the menu.
Dream types: because all dreams aren't the same, Ove considered adding four dream types. A,B,C, and D. The dream type affects the content of the dream, with A-C being common (25/101 chance for each type a,b, and c to occur) and D being extremely rare (1/101).
Hansel: Scott dresses up as hansel from the fairy tale Hansel and Gretel. Pressing shift causes Scott to drop a breadcrump, which is used as a placeholder,
ALTERNATE: Sick: Scott catches a cold. 1/2 speed, and pressing shift causes Scott to puke, the throw-up is a placeholder.
Saber-toothed Tiger: Scott gains the attributes of a sabertoothed tiger. (Possibly recieved in a quest in which you have to settle a dispute between a clan of dogs and cats. Gained if you sided with the cat clan.)
Dire Wolf: Scott gains the attributes of a dire wolf (Gained if you sided with the dogs)
Sorry if I sounded too long wi NDEA or anything. I'm trying my best to explain all of this in the shortest amount of text as posible.
Go back to your fangirl-ness.
Okay so I finished my homework and i'm re-readind this.
ALL DEM ERRORS.>>4514

File: 1331650698957.jpg (11.92 KB, 352x240, HNI_0042_JPG.JPG)
But that is a good question though…Unless Scott actually communicates using telepathy or something.
What would be funny is if the NPC saying this was pretty strange themself.
Though, having to unequip your effect every time you want to talk to someone sounds like it may be a hassle.
So what do you guys think of me uploading a bugtest version? Just to get all the errors out of the way.
File: 1331689170808.jpg (81.09 KB, 250x293, raroo_now1.jpg)
I'd say; I'm ready to catch some BUGS!
The bugtest version is up.
You can access the debug room from the dream bedroom. This'll make testing easier.
And if there are any bugs (and I know there will be) please report them immediately!
There are bugs.
Most of them are passability glitches, but there are quite a few. I'll post all about it, once I'm done with my run-through of 0.00+.
File: 1331713229451.png (521.34 KB, 5120x768, Umbra-glitches.png)
I think I actually missed or forgot to mention some of these bugs in the past version. Anyways, here they are (pic very related, each corresponding number shows a picture of the glitch):
1. You can walk on some of those "sticks" in the Illuminati area; I'm fairly sure you shouldn't be able to.
2. If you enter the Stairwell entrance, exit and then go up, you will walk on the entrance. You can even walk over to those hexagonal prisms.
3. I'm not sure if you're supposed to be able to do this, but you can go inside this "boxed" area in Space World, if you walk into it from the bottom left.
4. You can walk on this part of an area in Photopaths (pp2), rather than Scott appearing behind it.
5. Almost the same as "4.", but in pp3.
6. In F3 of the Stairwell ("To Subway"), you can walk all the way to the end of the path at the top, and you will walk on nothing. There is another passability glitch around the bottom of the staircase in this map.
7. The glitch I mentioned in >>4048
, with the menu changing NPC in Mural, is still present in the game.
8. Still unable to exit librarium from the entrance/exit to Monokromatique.
9. In the Librarium, you can walk through the bottom bookcases(?) but not others (assuming you're supposed to be able to walk through/"between" them).
10. Same as "9.", but in another part of the Librarium.
11. Just a passability glitch around the entrance
to rainy forest.
12. Passability glitch in the rainy forest.
13. You can walk on this hole at the end of the well's sewer tunnel.
14. Another passability glitch in the rainy forest.
15. And another one. You may want to check the rainy forest of more of these (it seems to be a glitch magnet, heh).
16. A black tile that doesn't overlap Scott (when it should); there are several places around the rainy forest/park that have these non-overlapping black tiles (shown is the path to the park). Again, you may want to check out some things concerning the rainy forest maps.
More glitches, without pictures:> save screen glitch
I'm not sure if it's just my computer, but when I go to the save screen by going to bed, the screen gets ghosting and stuff if I move. I'm not sure why (it's fine when I'm loading though).> Can't move in Subway
If you go to the Subway from F3 in the stairwell ("to subway"), you get stuck. Plus, the exit warps you to same place, so you have to wake up to get out of there.> mega speed upgrades
Talking to Traveler with Gym Clothes equiped does not reset speed, and re-equiping Gym Clothes further increases speed.> cancel = "BITE ME"
I'm not sure if it's intentional, but pressing the cancel button when talking to Traveler chooses the [Ant.] option rather than the [Neu.] option.> random music plays?
At the bridge in rainy forest, if you take the exit to the left, some music will start playing (usually no music plays in the rainy forest). This music also plays when you go from the well to the park. Not sure if that's supposed to happen.> not enough space to finish sentence
When you talk to Traveler while he is in the park, his dialog is incomplete.
I think that's everything I found.
In other news, I'm really liking Scott's personality so far (both his good and bad sides). And, I like the Traveler; he is adorable. =3
AAAAAH im so happy you like it! Your like, one of my Yume Nikki fangame idols! And as a little secret between you and me, theres a little brisge that connects the end of the forest maze to the beginning, but it only opens up once you've navagated it, meaning you only have to traverse the maze once.
Also does the game look pretty bug-free? I think I might add one or two more effects just for the bugtest room before I release version 0.00+
I don't really understand. Do you think you could elaborate?

I really hope I can finish touching up some things and release version 0.00+, but before I finish it up, I want to know if this looks alright. I decided to add the rest of his apartment before I release it, but if it doesn't look good I'll just edit it more and release it with v.0.01
So, what do you think?
*is weird though.
(I mistyped something)
Yeah. The game was originally going to be themed around space but I've sorta worked away from that.
The shadow part is still relevant, though.
Hm! A VERY nice design, I love it! And I have a thing for odd apartment floorplans haha.
Though, with the windows as they are now, there's a really weird perspective going on. The window by the couch shows a city skyline, but the window by the sink does not. It gives it a weird m.c. escher effect, like the kitchen it bent up towards the sky.
From that particular perspective it's somewhat difficult making skylines, especially when there's two windows in odd places like that. Just a little thing I noticed! Otherwise it looks great. :33
Also uploaded v.0.00+
I'm uploading the link here before I upload it anywhere else just in case there are any lingering bugs.http://www.mediafire.com/?f91zw3fc739ew0z
I found another instance of the sitting down sprite bug. Man this thing really doesn't wanna stop tormenting me.
Don't download that. I'll have an updated link up real soon.

Finally, version 0.00+, the fixed version!
I hope you have fun you guys!
Im sorry guys. School is really tough right now. I've literally been flooded with work. Plus I just got some weird sinus infection which resulted in multiple doctor visits and pills. But to make up for it I released a version that fixed several bugs present in the last one!
Plus Scott has a bathroom now.
I still noticed, the gymcloth-with-talking-to-stranger bug still works :U
and if you go to the underground(?)
you can't go outside of it. you need to wake up to get out of it.
also what underground are you talking about?
AHHHH WHY DOES MY GAME GET ALL THIS LOVE YOU GUYS. I honestly don't know what to say anymore, because I've gotten past the point of button mashing. So I'll just. I don't know. Draw some more stuff for you? I have no idea how I should express my gratitude anymore. I love it!
I buttonmashed anyways.
I also mentioned the new version of Umbra on my blog after a quick run-through this afternoon.http://mishkafaulken.com/2012/03/29/not-a-review-of-umbra/
Spoiler-free, as always. I just talk about the elements (really more subjective stuff in this case, since the game's still in early development.)
I HAD NO IDEA HOW TO REPAY YOU SO I JUST TOOK OUT A SHIRT OIGOT FOR FREE AT A CON, TOOK MY SISTER'S BACKPACK AND PUT MY HAIR INTO PIGTAILS AND RAN AROUND THE HOUSE PRETENDOIG TO SMASH STUFF SWINGING MY WII REMOTE SCREAMING "I'M THE GODDAMN SCOTT" BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE ABASEBALL BAT
Oh. Um. A picture of Scott and Maria jumping into a TV I guess. That sounds cool XD

I'll throw the rest in /cos/ once I finish up this essay

you can't move, and if you want to exit, you get teleported into it again.
Rusch. I envy you so much, your game getting all that attention lol. :'c
anyways i try my best and try to help you in finding some bugs lol
I downloaded the newest version.
well, but I forgot wich one I downloaded… I will redownload it and check it again
Okay now I know why it was so buggy.
I used the one that was in the rar file, instead the installator.
but there are still some bugs.
like with the sugar cube. you can "sit" with the sugar cube and the sugercube disappears.
What about just playing audio right before starting to read the subtitles? VA is obviously a thing for a later time, though.
Also I would gladly lend my voice for fangames if I was asked.

school is over
oh my god yes school is over
here have part of the updated talksprite. what do you think?
Under the impression of a certain reviewer's works, I won't hate on it.
His skull looks too long because of the way you drew hair. As lush as his hair may be, that amount of protrusion is unlikely. It helps to draw a head "bald", "applying" hair afterwards.
Other than that, I can't put my finger on what could be improved, maybe others will help you on the matter.
